Sesquicentenary Celebrations

I am writing to give you update on our Sesqicentenary. Given the current lockdown and uncertainty surrounding both its length and the post-lockdown restrictions, we have made the decision to postpone our sesquicentenary celebrations which were to have taken place between 29 July and 8 August this year.

As disappointing as this is, I want to stress that this is a postponement and not a cancellation. The ministry team will be meeting in the coming days to discuss options for rescheduling the event.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have worked tirelessly to prepare for this significant milestone in the life of St Paul's Burwood. This work has not been wasted and, while we have to be patient for a little while longer, we will all get to share in the creativity and generosity of spirit at a time when we are able to see our celebrations come to their fruition.

Please be assured of my continued prayers for you and your family at this time.

In darkness and in light,
in trouble and in joy,
help us, heavenly Father,
to trust your love,
to serve your purpose,
and to praise your holy name;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
